This 8-week Rising Strong™ workshop, facilitated by Rebecca Hopkins, takes you on a journey through Brené Brown’s research based, courage and resilience building methodology. While learning the three step Rising Strong process, you get to experience the rare sense of common humanity, the feeling we experience when we feel seen, heard and valued.
You will also leave with the ability to integrate the resilience process into your life; changing the way you live, love, parent and lead.

KEY OUTCOMES
You will leave with a deep understanding of how:
- Vulnerability, courage, shame, and worthiness show up in our lives.
- Our emotions are deeply connected to how we think and behave.
- We offload hurt instead of feeling hurt.
- Curiosity about how we feel and the ability to articulate it is critical in resilience building.
- To use the rising strong process to be an all round better human (also know as being a wholehearted parent, partner, family member and leader).
CONTENT
Session 1: January 28, 7.30-9.30pm (AEDT)
- In this first session we welcome everyone in to the group and spend a good amount of time getting to know each other. One of the best things about this workshop is the amazing humans you will meet.
- You will also identify the values that are most important in your life and learn why they are the foundation for emotional resiliency.
Session 2: February 4, 7.30-9.30pm (AEDT)
- This session is all about knowing how to recognise when you are hooked by emotion.
- You will learn about the relationship between emotion, thought, and behaviour.
- Learn six patterned ways in which we offload hurt (which will blow you away once you know them!)
- Take away practical strategies for reckoning with your emotions (rather than losing your shit from time to time).
Session 3: February 11, 7.30-9.30pm (AEDT)

This session is kick arse. It’s the one where you will pick a story that you want to explore over the remaining weeks.

You will write your Shitty First Draft (SFD) and learn how to dig into it and see what’s true and what’s not true.
- We will also unpack vulnerability and see how it shows up in your story.
Session 4: February 18, 7.30-9.30pm (AEDT)

This week we spend the whole session unpacking shame, one of the darkest emotions we can experience and one we definitely need to understand.
Session 5: February 25, 7.30-9.30pm (AEDT)
- This session we will spend time on the massively important and so hard to do sometimes, boundaries.
- Trust is also a big one we dig into in session 5.
Session 6: March 4, 7.30-9.30pm (AEDT)
- Hold your breath for this one, it’s another biggie. Grief and forgiveness. Understanding these two massive emotions has changed my life and it will change yours. That’s why I leave a whole 2 hours for this one.
Session 7: March 11, 7.30-9.30pm (AEST)
- The last two emotions we will deep dive into are anxiety and criticism.
- You will experience a brilliant way in this session to get clear on whose opinions of you really matter.
Session 8: March 18, 7.30-9.30pm (AEST)
FINAL SESSION
- Here we talk about the power of writing a new ending to your story.
- And we talk about the most important piece of the workshop. integration, and how emotional resilience comes when take what you learned and apply it to your own life.
